GROWING UP IN GOD'S STORY

Last summer, we journeyed through the book of 1 Samuel in a series called God Will Make a Way.
We saw that in many "against all odds" situations, God was making a way and this forced people to
choose - either get on the way with Him or get out of the way. There were a number of characters
and contrasts. This summer, we move into 2 Samuel and the focus is on one man - David.

David becomes king and we find that like all of us, he does some things well with God he messes up some other things in grand fashion. The theme is growing up. Just as David had to grow up to fill the throne of the king, God wants us to grow up to fulfill our part in His story.
