What was Jesus all about, why did he come?
John, perhaps the closest of Jesus’ followers, records the following words:
A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of. (John 10:10 The Message Translation)
Jesus came so that people can have abundant, full, overflowing, clearly alive, life. This was something he was so passionate about getting to other people—we could even say he was selling it.
