The
Treasures of Christmas

Even though Jesus came as
the baby of promise, there was no welcoming party. The treasure
of God's life is found only when people make room. The words of
Isaiah show us the kind of heart for whom Jesus views as
treasure—the poor, the brokenhearted, those who realize their
captivity, and those who mourn.
This month, as we celebrate
the Advent season, let's remember the treasures of Christmas,
the treasure prophesied in the Old Testament, and the
fulfillment of that treasure through the birth of God's Son,
Jesus Christ. |
