JOIN US for a spiritual adventure at Musana Camps located on beautiful Lake Victoria approximately 90 km from the capital city of Kampala.  Musana Camps is a Christian camping ministry of New Hope Uganda.

FAQ's

Age Requirements?  Parents are welcome to bring children aged 14 or older.  (There will be long days of travel and some physical work.)

Skills Needed?  None required—just a willingness to serve.

Do You Have To Go To CTV To Participate?  No, anyone who is willing to be a team player and share the work is welcome, regardless of church background or current faith.

Is English Spoken There?  Yes.

Do I Need A Passport?  Yes, passports are required.

Will I Be Applying For A Travel Visa?  Yes.  At the Entebbe Airport you will go through customs and will receive a 90 days tourist Visa.  The Visa cost is $50 and is added into the total cost for the trip.

How Do We Get There?  We fly to Entebbe, Uganda and will take a small bus/van to Musana Camps, the Kasana Center, and the Safari.

What Do We Wear?  Respecting Ugandan culture, all ladies wear long skirts/dresses, no trousers/shorts (except on Safari).  Men wear trousers or shorts.  For travel tips, go to: UgandaMission.net.

What Is The Weather Like?  Between 60º-80º degrees, tropical climate

Do I Need Shots?  Yes, several vaccinations are recommended.  The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends Yellow Fever, Typhoid, Hepatitis A and B; and Tetanus is required.  To schedule shots, call the CDC office in West Chester @ 610.738.2450.  Go to CDC’s website for the complete list:  wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/uganda.aspx

What Are The Accommodations Like? 

  • @ Musana Camps: weatherproof safari tents w/mattresses (rustic); 1 toilet/1 squatty; shower stalls w/cold water only
  • @ Kasana:  guest house; toilets, shower stalls w/cold water only
  • @ Safari:  Paraa Safari Lodge, a 4 Star Hotel  

How Much Will It Cost?  $2,700--Includes:  total cost of travel, Visa, lodging, safari, and meals in Uganda.  A deposit of $500 is needed to hold your spot.  (The cost of inoculations and travel documents are not included.)

  • Safari trip to Murchison Falls National Park
